Somerset Academy History

Founded in 1997, Somerset Academy began as a modest charter school in Miramar, Florida, operating from a two-room schoolhouse and serving 50 students from kindergarten through 5th grade. Over the years, it has expanded to offer high-quality K-12 educational programs across Florida, Nevada, Texas, and Arizona. Each campus maintains a unique and enriching educational program tailored to its community, contributing to Somerset Academy's recognition as a nationally acclaimed, award-winning family of public charter schools.

In 2009, Somerset Academy became the first network of public charter schools in the nation to earn corporate accreditation from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, highlighting its commitment to quality and educational excellence.
